It was in grade school that my life long pursuit of an Architect’s life started. Growing up in the friendly confines Oak Park and Chicago Illinois could not have been a better setting. Since the age of sixteen, through summers, school breaks and any time in between working in the profession was a joy and ever ydifferent firm, large and small, was an amazing learning experience. Attending school in the warmth and sunshine of Tucson at the University of Arizona cemented my desire to live in the Southwest. Ok,standing on a Loop EL platform in the middle of winter in Chicago, those five winters in Arizona seem like a dream and the little inner voice say’s “You know, you can do this anywhere”.
After “that other recession” I moved out to Phoenix permanently in the mid 90’s and went through what I call my Architectural Hobo Days, working for several firms and just not finding the right fit until BDG. I’ve been here ever since. It’s here at BDG that it has all come together, a great environment, great relationships in and out of the office, great clients and projects. What more can you ask for. The life of an Architect.
